Any goodwill that John McCain had built up in the environmental community was destroyed when he picked Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Artists for Obama campaign button
August 1st, 2008 · No Comments
If you’re an artist who depends upon freedom to do your work, you need to make a stand against the right wing agenda that seeks to squelch that freedom and reduce artists to mere mimeographs of the party line.

Barack Obama Green Motif Button Uses Visual Strategy
July 30th, 2008 · No Comments
The green spires behind Barack Obama could represent leaves, or positive energy such as solar energy. So, it could be an environmentalist message. Obama standing in front of the green design could just as easily represent him standing in accord with the Green Party, though.

Give a Good Left Hook With These 8 Obama Buttons
July 28th, 2008 · No Comments
I found a cozy little group of eight Barack Obama buttons today over at a cozy little web site called Good Left Hook. It’s not hard to find Barack Obama buttons these days, but the thing that stands out to me about this collection of buttons is that they’re just, well, atypical.
Typically, a political button follows the motif set by the candidate. For a presidential candidate, it usually is red, white and blue and has a star, or a representation of the American flag. You see, the idea is that if those items aren’t there, we might just forget that we live in the United States of America.
Sometimes, the White House sits in the background, just so that we can make no mistake about what the button’s intention is. Don’t these conventions get kind of boring after awhile? I’m happy to say that none of the eight buttons follows the conventions of political button designs. They’re all for Obama, and they’re all original – kind of like Obama himself.

Weavers for Obama Presidential Campaign Button
June 11th, 2008 · No Comments
Weavers are the practitioners of warp and woof. They start with spools of string and end up with art. They see both union and individuality. That’s the metaphor people refer to when they talk about the fabric of the American nation.

Jennifer Granholm for Vice President?
June 7th, 2008 · 3 Comments
Governor Granholm for Vice President? Jennifer Granholm is a popular Democratic governor – someone who can complement Barack Obama’s strong legislative record with executive experience. Jennifer Granholm also shares the demographic appeal of Hillary Clinton – without sharing Clinton’s divisive political character.

Barack Obama American Flag Lapel Pin
May 30th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States, and the American flag belongs to him just as much as it does to any American citizen. Don’t let the opponents of Barack Obama bludgeon Obama and the American flag.

Encourage Barack Obama To Choose Kathleen Sebelius for Vice President
May 18th, 2008 · 3 Comments
An Obama-Sebelius political team has obvious potential to bring Democrats together, showing a positive, powerful new face for the American future. There’s never been a ticket like this before, but the USA is a country where the limitations of the past have fallen over and over again to the progress of democratic ideals.
