People got involved in the 2004 presidential election because they saw that George W. Bush was a profound threat to America… but then they lost, and lost interest. The lesson they took away from the 2004 presidential election is that it doesn’t matter what they do.

Where Progressive Political Buttons Are Being Bought

The map shows where they have recently sent their buttons. Where they send those progressive buttons turns out to be mostly into blue states. Georgia and Colorado are a couple of exceptions, but for the most part, their business seems to be on the West Coast and Northeast.

Going Shopping For Buttons

These aren’t necessarily buttons that the person who made the list designed himself. He may have just found the buttons by looking around at web sites like this one. The member of this site finds political buttons he or she appreciates, and then recommends them, and then other people may recommend them too.

Give a Good Left Hook With These 8 Obama Buttons
July 28th, 2008 · No Comments
I found a cozy little group of eight Barack Obama buttons today over at a cozy little web site called Good Left Hook. It’s not hard to find Barack Obama buttons these days, but the thing that stands out to me about this collection of buttons is that they’re just, well, atypical.
Typically, a political button follows the motif set by the candidate. For a presidential candidate, it usually is red, white and blue and has a star, or a representation of the American flag. You see, the idea is that if those items aren’t there, we might just forget that we live in the United States of America.
Sometimes, the White House sits in the background, just so that we can make no mistake about what the button’s intention is. Don’t these conventions get kind of boring after awhile? I’m happy to say that none of the eight buttons follows the conventions of political button designs. They’re all for Obama, and they’re all original – kind of like Obama himself.

I spoke to the designer of this collection of campaign buttons just this morning, and apparently, the collection has been up for only a few hours. He says we can expect to see their anti-McCain pins double in number by the end of the day.
