Which are the red states? Which are the blue states? Barack Obama says that he will overcome the red state / blue state divide, but according to one map, the blue states and red states are staying put.
The map, which you see below, is from Irregular Goods, an outfit that makes and sells progressive political buttons. The map shows where they have recently sent their buttons. Where they send those progressive buttons turns out to be mostly into blue states. Georgia and Colorado are a couple of exceptions, but for the most part, their business seems to be on the West Coast and Northeast.

An update - which you can see on this map, is that Southern states are starting to move in on the map of button sales.
