If there was one area I thought that web 2.0, and all of its social networking mania, would not invade, it was the business of political buttons. Alas, I was wrong. The online equivalent of reality shows has emerged.
I found out about it through a shopping web site called ThisNext. There, I found a list of Barack Obama buttons. These aren’t necessarily buttons that the person who made the list designed himself. He may have just found the buttons by looking around at web sites like this one.
The member of this site finds political buttons he or she appreciates, and then recommends them, and then other people may recommend them too.
Looking at the site, I do have to wonder - are these people so busy recommending campaign buttons that they aren’t buying any themselves?
