Now that Hillary Clinton is conceding the Democratic presidential primary race to Barack Obama and putting her support behind the Obama for President campaign without seeking the Vice Presidential spot on the ticket herself, the question becomes this: Who will Barack Obama choose for VP?
Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius has been suggested as one good option. Let me now suggest another: Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm.
Like Sebelius, Jennifer Granholm is a popular Democratic governor – someone who can complement Barack Obama’s strong legislative record with executive experience. Jennifer Granholm also shares the demographic appeal of Hillary Clinton – without sharing Clinton’s divisive political character.
Finally, there’s the Michigan delegate debacle to think of. Michigan has a lot of votes to lend to an Electoral College battle against John McCain, and Granholm could go a long way toward delivering those votes.
Michigan also represents the economic pain that America is going through right now – and economic issues are sure to be at the top of people’s concerns in the general election this year. What better person than the Governor of Michigan to lead the effort to transform the nation’s economy from dependence on fossil fuels to use of renewable energy?

Are you serious?
Under Granholm Michigan has become a second rate state.
The only thing Granholm has accomplished is raising taxes.
Obama reminds me a bit of Granholm..a virtual unknown who has been pulled through the ranks.
When Granholm leaves, Michigan will be far worse off than when she arrived.

As Governor Granholm isn’t a native born citizen, she can not be VP, unfortunately.
