Is it possible that you have not yet heard that John Edwards endorsed Barack Obama for President last night? Is it so odd to hope that the connection between these two Democrats might persist beyond last night’s speech. Is it out of hand to anticipate Barack Obama and John Edwards as running mates, on an Obama-Edwards 2008 ticket?

Barack Obama and John Edwards are known so well to the American people that it is not necessary to always mention their names explicitly. Haven’t you noticed how you can always tell when someone is talking about Barack Obama or John Edwards, even before their names are being mentioned?

These two leaders have managed to distinguish themselves by their ideas, and so when it came time to make this campaign button in support of the Obama-Edwards 2008 ticket, as running mates, it seemed repetitive to place their names here. Allow the forward-looking faces of Barack Obama and John Edwards to speak for themselves. They look upon a future in which America becomes what it always ought to have been.

John Edwards and Barack Obama as a team may seem to balance each other out at first, but upon deeper consideration they seem more to be in accord with eachother. Both Edwards and Obama take the high road when their competitors go on the attack. Both believe in challenging Americans to overcome past divisions in order to achieve positive goals for an American future. John Edwards joins Barack Obama in having the audacity to hope for the promise of America fulfilled.
