Is it a coincidence that Earth Day is the same day as the presidential primary election in Pennsylvania? Well, yes.

Still, it’s an educational coincidence.

The presidential primary gives Democrats in Pennsylvania the chance to choose between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. That’s important, but the observance of Earth Day on the very same day gives people all over the world a more important choice: Will they dedicate themselves in the year to come to the responsible stewardship of the Earth, or will they just go on as if it’s simply another day, and pretend that there’s no issue at hand.

This year, vote in the primary for the entire Earth. Elect to celebrate Earth Day.
