Remember how, a few years ago, there were all these t-shirts, bumper stickers and buttons with the American flag and the slogan: These Colors Don’t Run? Well, it turns out that those colors ran right into a trap in Iraq, and the slogan has become a lot less popular. All those old political products have gotten worn out, with the colors fading, if not actually running.

There is, however, a new reworking of that slogan, against the kind of right wing pro-war thinking that originally ran it. This button features the gay rights rainbow triangle with the reworked slogan: These colors don’t run either.

They may be slammed as queers, but they’re no pansies.
