Some people say that a hero is one who fights, and destroys an enemy. Others say that a hero is one who scores lots of points in a game.

I say that a hero is someone who transform, without thought of the transformation being recognized by others.

I say that today’s greatest heroes are those who ride a bicycle.

While others walk on treadmills that suck electricity out of a wall socket, going nowhere, bicyclists make their own power and move where they will. While motorcyclists pollute the air with their self-conscious pose of noise, bicyclists cut through the pollution silently.

They clear the roads. They make room for others. They build strength without taking from anyone else’s strength.
