If you’ve been paying attention to political news at all recently, you must have noticed how much attention the 2008 presidential caucus in Iowa is getting. Now, I’ve lived in Iowa, and I like Iowa. Nonetheless, the way that Iowa has been able to keep a stranglehold on its political influence over the Democratic presidential nomination, in spite of the efforts of other states to get involved in the process.Let Iowa voters have their influence, but let other voters in other states participate too, and have a fair contribution to the selection of their own party’s presidential candidate. It’s with that idea in mind that I’ve sought out a progressive political button from another state, and come across this one for Dennis Kucinich in Idaho: Idaho Supports Kucinich.I have family that lives in Idaho, and for the longest time after I got married, my wife kept on talking about my family in “Iowa”. Turnabout is fair play, I figure.
